Love

I made this layout of all of the Massman boys and their wives! We had these fun photos taken when we had some group family photos taken in November.  I made it using Sketchy Thursday's LAST sketch. Boo hoo! I love their sketches! Anyway, I finished it this evening just in time to enter into The Paper Variety's challenge to use black/white and a kiss of color.  The sketch and prompt seemed to go perfectly with the photos!!!! Don't you agree?

Thanks for visiting!

Technically Inclined Me

I made this layout for Scrapfit's Workout #56 - Technically Inclined.  It is me with the technological thing that helps me do what I love most--Scrapbooking! And, I'm using it while I'm doing the 2nd thing I love most--travelling!

I hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks for visiting! I really appreciate it!

A Walk in Phoenix

My twin sister and I had so much fun in Phoenix that I went a little wild in printing photos! Here are a couple of photos of us on our walk around downtown Phoenix--it was really near our hotel, in fact! I used Sketch Inspiration's Sketch #237 to make this layout for The Paper Variety's My Favorite Embellishment challenge! I think you can tell that I chose buttons! I think there are 20 buttons on this one! I don't know if buttons are my favorite because I hate to leave the other embellishments out...but I do use them a lot and love them!!!!

Thanks for visiting! I hope you have a great week!

If you are anywhere near St. Charles, Missouri, this weekend, come out and see us at MOSAICS--(Missouri Festival For the Arts)! I understand there will be over 100 juried artists there!!!

Meet Frenchie - Our Blizzard Snow(wo)man

I have been waiting for some great pictures to use this beautiful Bo Bunny paper!!!  The blizzard we had last week gave me quite a few photos!  This is Frenchie, our Blizzard snow(wo)man!  She has sedum flowers for her hair!!!  There is a story behind the leather mittens in the bottom left.  The boys got new wallets for Christmas--so I saved the old ones to make mitten die cuts with my Sizzix.  I embossed the blue mittens so they would feel special, too!  I also embossed the mats under the photos!  The little white flowers sparkle in real life!  I am going to enter this into Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything but a card challenge.

Thanks for visiting my blog! If you have time, please leave me a comment so I know that you visited! Have a great day!

Autumn - 1995

I made this for several challenges at Sketches 4 All--Melissa O'Neill, Wendy Crow and Stacy Harper Watson's to be exact! I combined the challenges so that I could enter Stacy's "Ya Ain't Gettin' Off that Easy" challenge which is to incorporate 3 or more challenges into one layout!  I am also entering it into Frosted Designs because I did some distressing!

Autumn was the best dog I ever had! I originally got her so that I could train her to be a Support Dog for the disabled.  However, she developed hip dysplasia, so they couldn't use her. When I found that out, I chose to adopt her.  She would have been such a good help to someone! She was so eager to please.  She's been gone a long time, but I think of her all of the time!  Now, I am allergic to dogs (all kinds--even the ones that are good for people with allergies)! Isn't that weird? I had one of the most shedding dogs in Autumn, and now I wouldn't even be able to have her...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!! Blessings are sent your way!

Evening of Drama - Take 2

Artful Delight has a challenge going on to make a layout showcasing something your child, grandchild or family member has done either at school or in a sport that has made you proud. I used #141 Sketch Inspiration.  This layout shows my son in two roles:  1) the cool detective and 2) the nervous, creepy janitor! I've already scrapped Mitch in the detective roll--ironically also using a Sketch Inspiration sketch.  It is here if you care to see it.  I was really proud of Mitch that he took the time to learn two roles and voices which he had to interchange at the drop of a hat in the play! He did a fantastic job!  He is so busy during the year that it was just a little icing on the cake to see him perform so well at the Evening of Drama (eod)!  I hand-made the flower on the left.  I fussy cut the star "border" out of a sheet from Core'dinations.  It seems I am a little addicted to banners right now, so I added one for fun here! I tried to keep this a pretty masculine layout! Most of the paper is Bo Bunny - Mamarazzi which fits me to a tee!

Saugatuck Dunes, Michigan through the Forest

Much of this layout came from the Discovery kit over at Scrapbooking from the Inside Out! I just love their kits!!!!!

Mom and Dad--So Thankful for You and Pay it Forward

I used Bo Bunny on this simple layout.  It uses yellow but I don't want to be too greedy and enter it as a 3rd entry for Natalie's challenge to use yellow as a focal feature!

On another note:  Kimmy sent me a wonderful box of goodies as a pay it forward!  The stipulation for playing is that you must send a pay it forward to 5 other people through your blog or FB!  I am paying it forward to the following ladies (who I have already contacted).  All of them have supported my work through my blog or FB.

Trelawny S.

Outtakes from Prom - rustic

I'm entering this in Scrapfit challenge 21.  It said to use a machine, and punches count!  I used Bo Bunny's Mamarazzi on this one. The coloring in the photo seems a little off-what looks like gray is actually a really pretty, light-blue!  I hand-made the black rose out of some Glitz Designs Paper.  The jewels are from Pebbles--very glittery.  I used a Fiskars punch on the Glitz Designs paper for a border on the pictures of Mitch and Haley together.  Finally, I used some CTMH stamps to add a few fun words/phrases and a little border of Haley peeking out of the crack in the barn "wall".   In case you are wondering, my layouts are pretty simple because for me it's all about the pictures! I love having some fun papers and some cute embellies, but the pictures rule! Don't get me wrong, I love other people's work who use a lot more stuff!! I just have a simple style for my own scrapbooking!!

The Best Way to Know Life is to Love Many Things

Betsy Veldman at http://scrapbookgirl.typepad.com/ who is one of Paper Craft's Go To girls has a sketch that she would like us to use to make a card.  I flipped the sketch upside down and thought it turned out pretty well. I used two Cuttlebug folders on this simple card! I hope you like it!
