REDBOOK + L’Oréal Paris Happy Hour House Party Goodie Bags

When I saw that Simon Says Stamp had an Anything Goes Challenge, I had some motivation to get my 10 goodie bags ready for the
REDBOOK + L’Oréal Paris Happy Hour House Party that I am hosting this weekend.  I used my Cricut to cut out the purse and flower and then embossed the purse in my Sizzix machine.. The cellophane bags have a cute yellow design on them, too.  I thought they turned out pretty cute, and they were easier than I thought! I can't wait to host the party for my niece Julie and her friends. They need a little break from studying!!!

Thanks for looking!

1997 Halloween

I made this Fall layout using a sketch at Artful Delight to celebrate Leanne's birthday!   I also used a book page which I sprayed with Mr. Huey Mist and some Webbing to meet a challenge over at Sweet Peach Crop Shop!  I did quite a bit of tearing and distressing and embossed the photo mat on this to give it a little texture!  My little sweetheart was 3 when he went trick-or-treating as Elmo in 1997.  It's hard to believe he is a senior in high school this year!!!  Most of this is My Mind's Eye except for the fussy cut leaves which are CTMH.  By the way, did you notice the Fiskars leaf border punch at the bottom of the black paper?  I helped name it "Falling for You." :-)

Thanks for visiting. I'm posting a couple of things today!

Summertime --- and the livin's easy

I made this for The Studio Challenge to make a Layout about something you only do in the summer! We only play Bocce at the 4th of July celebration at my twin sister's house!  I've blocked out some of the faces of those people from whom I didn't receive permission to share on the Internet!

It's a fairly simple layout, but I focused on Circles quite a bit.  I have embossed the corners of my cardstock and placed big, colored brads randomly over the page as if they had been thrown by the players.  There's a little sprinkling of mist on the page.  Each of the letters is a different color and has a different texture.

Easter Bunny card

I used Couture Cardstock's fallen leaf as the base of this card!  Doesn't it hold up well to embossing??

I did this challenge with two challenges in mind:
Paper Play

Couture Cardstock
Said only use cardstock--this was easier than I thought it would be when I first heard the challenge!

"Moxie Fab World Challenge: Diggin' on Doilies & Lace"

Moxie Fab World had a cool challenge.  I used red floss to sew my doilies to my card  I thought the addition of the diamond Kaiser jewels in the lower left added a modern touch to the card.  Butterfly and Red hearts have a little silver shine added. Hope you enjoy it!

Couture Cardstock challenge - muted

Here is my entry for the challenge tonight! fun. As soon as I saw the challenge, I thought I would make a baby card. This one whipped up in less than 10 minutes!! Used my Cuttlebug folder (swiss dots) for the card base. This card is so muted that my camera threw a fit before getting a decent shot!
