Peter Rabbit in Yellow and Green

Since I am guest designer over at Crafter's Companion this month, I thought I'd make another "yellow" card for the challenge. I added some texture to this card by distressing the edges with my CTMH distressing tool to add it to the Simon Says Texture challenge. I also splattered some Luminarte powders on this which has some texture (and sparkle--which allows me to add it to Stacy's challenge) all by itself. Finally, I added some gorgeous Crate Paper buttons! One of the boys just might have to give me this card for some occasion. I don't' know if I can let it go. I love Peter Rabbit!!! I colored the image with CTMH water color pencils and some copics.

Thanks so much for visiting! I really appreciate it!

Shabby Bicycle

Here is a shabby bicycle card that I made for Simon Says Stamp Challenge - anything goes! I "taught" this card to my stamp club as it was my month. The patterned paper is sparkly and is from SEI. I cut the flowers from my sizzix, using an old pair of jeans from my husband and some felt.  I sprayed the felt with some Mr. Huey Mist to match the card better. The stamp is CTMH, and I colored it with my water color pencils.

Thanks for visiting! I really appreciate it!

Technically Inclined Me

I made this layout for Scrapfit's Workout #56 - Technically Inclined.  It is me with the technological thing that helps me do what I love most--Scrapbooking! And, I'm using it while I'm doing the 2nd thing I love most--travelling!

I hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks for visiting! I really appreciate it!

Old Point Loma Light

Point Loma in the San Diego, California, area is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. And, we've seen a lot of places during our travels throughout the United States over the years! I literally had tears in my eyes when we drove along the road that parallels the ocean at Point Loma. I was happy to do this layout which I am entering in Simon Says ,,,,, Anything Goes :-)!!

Thanks so much for visiting! I'd love it if you stopped to say "hello" in the comments!!!

Resilience

This is a doozy! I don't normally pour out my soul so heavily in public! I made this layout in response to a prompt by Scrapbooking from the Inside Out!  I used Sketch #114 from The Scrappiest.  After seeing the prompt from SFTIO and a prompt to use a number from The Paper Variety, I felt this overwhelming urge to make the layout about my feelings about lupus (and my other diseases) which I have had for over 20 years (which is the number for TPV)!  It is reflected in the title of my layout as well as in my journaling. I have included photos which show the Title, the journaling strips and the actual journaling if you care to read them. You might have to enlarge the bottom one even more to be able to read it! I printed out my journaling and title in three different fonts and then sprayed the paper with some Mister Huey's Color Mist in Orchard. Somehow it represented pain to me! The butterflies represent my good days and the fragility of life all at the same time.  I love the Prima that I used also! It just seemed to fit.

Tuesday Trigger: Oh So Lovely

I made this card as soon as I saw Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger: Oh So Lovely this afternoon! I am also entering it in my friend's Stacy's challenge over at Sketches 4 All. You ought to check out her challenges over there. She is so nice and you might even win a fantastic prize!

Vintage Tag

Well, I got out my needle and thread on this. My mother-in-law gave me the beautiful pearl beads! I don't know who the girls are--thought they were beautiful. They remind me of my mom when she was younger (at least from the pictures I've seen)! The gorgeous flower is Prima. Paper and ribbon are from Cosmo Cricket! I was pretty happy with this! I distressed the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  I did the tag for Sketches4All/you!

If you like it, please consider leaving a comment! I "live" for comments. Well, maybe not "live," but I sure enjoy getting them!
