Amy Knollmeyer Photography photos of Mitch's Girlfriend

I made this layout of my son's girlfriend. She was supposed to be a "snake." Such a pretty snake, indeed!  The photos were taken by a professional during a "Vogue" style session.  I had fun making my own background in the upper right using a mask and some paints, and Tim Holtz distress stains in a blue and white color (don't have the bottles right here). I love how this turned out! I made it for Simon Says Make Your Own Background!!!

Thanks for looking. Let me know you stopped by, and I'll come visit you!!!

Have a great day!

What's that? Another Canvas?

I made another canvas to enter into Simon Says Show Anything Goes. I used some Faber Castell gelatos that I won from them a long time ago as well as some distress paint and stamps!

Thanks for looking! I'll have more soon!

My Little Artist

I made this layout of my little artist (about 10 years ago)!!! When he was little, Mitchell loved making art projects!  I used Sketchy Thursday's latest challenge and make it messy for Stacy's challenge, and it fits Scrapfit's Workout #45 (see comment about toilet paper roll)!   I used several different mists as well as some messy Jenni Bowlin yellow paint. I put the yellow paint on an empty toilet paper roll and also used the paint on the "brush".   I totally used some really old stash along with some fun newer things on this layout!!! Can you tell???? The buttons are Jenni Bowlin. I love them. I've been hoarding them.

Thanks for visiting! Hope you are having a great day!

Memphis, Zoo

This is what I do when I have a lot of photos to scrap. I just pile them on and add a couple of accents--in this case a bunch of buttons, flowers and a big dotted brad! That big yellow chipboard flower has Jenni Bowlin paint on it, and it has been stamped with a background stamp from CTMH in an aqua pigment ink from SEI. The paper is Crate Paper.

Thanks for visiting. I won't be posting much in the next few days as my husband (and I) are getting ready for a big art show--Art in the Park in Columbia, Missouri, June 4-5, 2011.  It's a fantastic show. If you are in the area, please stop by and say Hi! :-)

Journal I Made at My Local Library

The Journal -- Finished

Metals: Dragonfly with purple square
Heart and Live, Laugh, Love with clear and green bead

Before I added the stuff around the edge and the Tattered Angels (probably a better photo, but I like the Finished Product much better!

I made this journal at the library.  It is my favorite craft I've done at the library.  When I brought it home, I hadn't sprayed it with Tattered Angels or added the little paper to cover the wrinkles on the edge! I'm even happier now!  The cover is muslin to which we added fabric crayons rubbed over stamps and an acrylic paint wash.  We then hand-sewed in the 4 signatures (5 sheets of paper each).  It was so much fun that I might have to try it again.  The purple circle is polymer clay with an impression of a dragonfly in it! Can you tell that I'm proud of my first attempt at making a book!

Thanks for visiting! Don't be afraid to leave a comment--though be gentle--it's my first one!
Have a great day!
