How Fast You Grow Charlie!

This is our darling little Charlie.  The pocket in the middle of the 2 photos talks about how fast he grew in about a month.  We got him right before Christmas at just under 4 pounds and is now over 17 pounds!! Wow!  I made the layout using a sketch from PageMaps!  I used mostly Teresa Collins "On the Edge" with the exception of some Tattered Angels mist and the little zig zag border which came from Echo Park and the top part of the pocket which was a little bit of DCWV embossed with a cool chevron pattern which is the opposite of the double folder I got recently with my gift certificate from my cool friend Stacy! (I'm also sharing this layout with one of her challenges at Sketches 4 All/You...)

Thanks for looking!  I hope you are having a great Mother's Day!

Mitch got up very early yesterday to make me a wonderful breakfast since he is going to a Yankees game in Kansas City today. I couldn't say no to that since he rarely gets this kind of opportunity!

You Will Always Be My Little Boy

I made this for the Page Maps Colour Suite Challenge sponsored by Echo Park. I was lucky enough to win All About a Boy from Echo Park during NSD this year.  I used it along with Little Boy and Hello Summer to make the layout! The only things that are not Echo Park are the sun boundary which is from CTMH and the twine. I also embossed the denim looking paper with a new Spellbinders two in one embossing folder.Oh, yeah, and I added a little mist from Tattered Angels.  Mitch is holding a sweet gum. What is funny about it is that he said "Mom, look, a sour gum!"  I thought it was funny anyway!

Thanks for looking and hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!

You and Me - Senior Photos

I made this for Scrapfit's Sketch Workout #69. Do you think the final layout should have the heart ribbon (#2) or not (#1)?  I'll go with the majority of the crowd!! I also entered this in my friend Stacy's challenge and Simon Says Anything Goes!.

Thanks for visiting! If you leave me a comment, I'll do my best to get around to you! I have been so busy, I'm surprised I found time to scrap!!! :-)

Crafter's Companion Mouse in Yellow

I was excited to be asked to be the guest designer at Crafter's Companion this month.  That provided me with just the motivation I needed to make this little card.  I painted the bows and the dress with some yellow glittery powder that I got from Luminarte after coloring them in with markers.  I made it for Crafter's Companion's sunshine/yellow challenge, Moxie Fab World's splatter challenge (I did splatter some of the Luminarte powders on my card stock before stamping it to make it seem like the sunshine is splattering all over) and finally for my friend Stacy's challenge to add pearls to your card.  I was lucky to have a friend who gave me the beautiful crochet flowers. I popped my pearls inside them.  Isn't this mouse sweet.

I'd like to encourage you to join the Crafter's Companion challenge this month.  The prize is awesome! A $30 gift card to their store. You can pick what you'd like.  You just have to use a stamp that they sell and the color yellow.  Pretty easy, right?! :-)

I'm hoping to craft more next week. So, you may see some layouts next week.

Also, just a note that we still haven't sold our house!  Please send prayers and positive energy our way! Thanks and have a great day!

Thanks for visiting!

Popcorn with Flowers!

I made this little card using the darling Popcorn the Bear stamp from Crafter's Companion where I am entering it in their May flowers challenge. I made the heart in the ear pink as well as used a pink background to fit my friend Stacy's challenge!  The three dots on the ribbon are actually sparkly jewels.  I fussy cut the bear and duck and then pop-dotted them for a little depth.

Thanks for visiting!!!

Family in 1987

I made this during NSD using Artful Delight's fun sketch.  I also entered into BasicGrey's challenge to use a shape other than a square or a rectangle--I chose the ever popular octagon.  I can't believe it, but everything on the layout is BasicGrey with the exception of the adhesive!

Thanks for looking!

Anyway, the stamps are CTMH and the other stuff I just rumbled around my room until I found them! I'm entering it in the Simon Says.... a BIT o' GREEN!!!! challenge! I was a bit lazy taking the photo on our table!

Christmas Rose

I am entering this in the Crafter's Companion Green Challenge this month. I am also entering it in Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge.  My friend Stacy sent me this beautiful Christmas Rose stamp as my prize for one of her challenges! See, I told you she sent great prizes.  You should really check out her challenges!!!!  Anyway, even though we are super busy, I had to stamp and color the beautiful images immediately!! I used some cool stuff that I got from Hydrangea Hippo to make the card, too!

Have a great week!!!  Thanks for visiting!

Mitch and Emily

Here's a sweet photo of Mitch and Emily. They were making Christmas cookies! She had just gotten off from work and was a little sleepy so she was resting her head on Mitch's arm when he leaned over to kiss her forehead! How very sweet! Anyway, I used two different collections of Pink Paislee on this. I also layered the photo with three mats which is rare for me! I rubbed some Distress ink on the photo as well as the mats. I also decided to add a corner punch to the photo to emphasize it a little bit. I sprayed a little bubblegum Tattered Angels on the background paper.  It is one of my favorite layouts that I've done in a while--mainly because of what it represents! The happiness of two of my favorite people!!!

I am entering this into Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge - Shape it Up! The three small die-cut hearts are my 3 alike shapes! I also used 3 different patterned papers to fit Simon Says Stamp's latest challenge.  Two are in felt.

Thanks for visiting!!!

Valentine's Card

Here's a little Valentine card I made for Crafter's Companion challenge this month--which is Anything Goes! I love those kinds of challenges! I used the darling little Humphrey's elephant stamp. I am guest designer over there this month, too! So, I will be making a project with a tutorial toward the end of the month!  Don't ask me what I'm going to make because I haven't decided yet! lol  I'm also entering the card in Simon Says Stamp challenge Red Letter Day--there isn't a better red letter day than Valentine's in my opinion!

Thanks for visiting!

I'll be announcing the winner of the Shabby Apple necklace tomorrow!!! So, there is still time to enter!

Family- Word of the Year

I made this layout for Scrapfit's Workout #57 Word of the Year.  I chose "Family" and fortunately this also qualifies for  Simon Says Stamp's anything goes challenge! I love those. I used some new things my hubby got me for Christmas--the spellbinders label die, the Tim Holtz leaves dies and the Tim Holtz wood-grain embossing folder!

Thanks for visiting! I'm going to be doing a lot more scrapbooking soon. I think I have my mojo back!!!!

Shabby Bicycle

Here is a shabby bicycle card that I made for Simon Says Stamp Challenge - anything goes! I "taught" this card to my stamp club as it was my month. The patterned paper is sparkly and is from SEI. I cut the flowers from my sizzix, using an old pair of jeans from my husband and some felt.  I sprayed the felt with some Mr. Huey Mist to match the card better. The stamp is CTMH, and I colored it with my water color pencils.

Thanks for visiting! I really appreciate it!

Hero Arts Fox - Thinking of You

I've obviously flipped the sketch on this little Thinking of You card!  I paper-pieced this darling Hero Arts sleeping fox card from a Hero Arts Presents… a Sketch Challenge! and am also entering it in Simon Says Stamp, Anything Goes Challenge. I don't do a lot of paper-piecing because I find that it is difficult to use a crafting knife to remove the unwanted paper, but I thought this little fox deserved the extra attention!

Thanks for visiting. I don't have much crafting mojo, but I at least did this card! :-)

Fall Card - Crafter's Companion

Isn't Popcorn the Bear, from Crafter's Companion so cute? I just love him to pieces! Here is a fall card for their September challenge! I am also entering it at Ribbon Carousel Challenge which is new to me for their RCC 21 Fabric of Our Lives with Linda challenge!!! I fussy cut the leaves from a CTMH stamp! I also added a little glitter around the Sizzix cloud that I made out of pocket material from an old pair of jeans! I have also added some liquid glue to the apple and pop dotted Popcorn! I thought it turned out really cute! Did you?

Thanks for visiting! Please leave me a comment if you have some time! I'll try to visit you if I haven't already visited you today!! :-)

A Walk in Phoenix

My twin sister and I had so much fun in Phoenix that I went a little wild in printing photos! Here are a couple of photos of us on our walk around downtown Phoenix--it was really near our hotel, in fact! I used Sketch Inspiration's Sketch #237 to make this layout for The Paper Variety's My Favorite Embellishment challenge! I think you can tell that I chose buttons! I think there are 20 buttons on this one! I don't know if buttons are my favorite because I hate to leave the other embellishments out...but I do use them a lot and love them!!!!

Thanks for visiting! I hope you have a great week!

If you are anywhere near St. Charles, Missouri, this weekend, come out and see us at MOSAICS--(Missouri Festival For the Arts)! I understand there will be over 100 juried artists there!!!

Thank you Teacher

I made this little thank you card for the Crafter's Companion challenge this month.  The little bear Popcorn is so sweet--it is from the School Days set!  I'm glad I saved the little bit from a notebook border punch that I got to use at Archiver's. I'd love to have a notebook border punch, but this will have to do for now!!! Anyway, I added a little Tattered Angels mist droplets on th background. My coloring isn't great, but there is no way to make this bear not cute!!

Thanks for visiting! I should be adding some layouts soon!

Have a great weekend!
