The Twins and their Furry Friend

I made this layout of my twin sister and me with the "furry" Phil the gorilla at the St. Louis Zoo.  We were about the same age as my sister's daughter and my son! It is weird to think that so much time has passed since this photo!!! Anyway, I saw the photos and thought they would fit great with Simon Says Stamp Furry Friends challenge; so I made this layout!!!

Hiking to Big Red

I made this layout for The Paper Variety's make your own flower challenge.  I loved this Amy Tangerine American Crafts map sheet. I have had this glass/metal focus on what is in this circle thingy for ages. I thought it would be cool to highlight the area we were travelling on the map.  I made the box fold flower for the challenge.  I was really excited recently to win some MME adventure brads. I hoarded them for a few seconds but decided to use them on this because I just love them SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much. I also used a little Mr. Huey Color Mist by dropping it on the page a few places.  Finally, I added these cool little Basic Grey letters. The gray pennant was made with the Chaps line from American Crafts. I thought it was cool that I got 7 photos on this layout even if they were small photos.

As you can see, we took the trip in 2010.  I'm so behind in scrapping...

I love you Always

Today, I’m sharing a Valentine’s Day card that I made for my husband using a double box flower! I’ll show you how to make one, too! They are so fun and easy to make.  I made it for my guest design post at Crafter's Companion.  The elephant is from the Humphrey's collection. She is a birthday girl, but I've used her for Christmas and Valentine's already! :-)

 First, make 4 same-sized scallops:

Second, crumple the scallops:

Third, fold the scallops in half:

Add the glue a little off center!

Glue together in a box fashion. You are finished!

You can stack them! Here, I've stacked two flowers with a big eyelet!
