in the middle #2
I CASEd this card from someone--wish I had saved the photo/name to give credit. I love it so much! I put the butterfly & mat in the top middle of the card to meet the Simon Says In the Middle challenge.

Massman Grandkids
Do you Ever Picture Something in Your Mind? And, then you make the layout, and it is NOTHING like you imagined yet you have no idea how to get it there. Well, considering I haven't really scrapped at all this month, I'm just going to run with it! I used Sketchy Thursday's sketch for this week as well as a challenge at Scrapfit to use small photos! At least I did those two things anyway!
Hope you are having a wonderful week and aren't stressing over the holidays!
Thanks for visiting!

The Old Point Loma Light
Here's a layout I did today using mostly Webster's Pages. I made it for Scrapfit'sWorkout #53 'The Journaling Goes Round & Round'. I did my journaling around the two photos! I cut the letters with my Cricut, added a few Martha Stewart butterflies, part of a ZVA crystals, and some Tattered Angels mist as well as my favorite Fiskar's border punch!
I hope this gets me back into crafting a bit more!!! I certainly have the photos!
Thanks for visiting! It makes my day!

And now, a Card (My third post of the day) I think it is a record!
UPDATE: 9/30/2011 This card was selected to be showcased on Create (Northridge Publishing) blog!

I made this Fall card using a prompt at Artful Delight to celebrate Leanne's birthday! My tic-tac-toe winning combination was from top left to bottom right diagonally. I also used three Fiskars border punches on it! The button is from Studio Calico! I thought it turned out really pretty for how simple it is! I'm also entering this for Really Reasonable Ribbon's autumn challenge--it has a little twine on it!!! :-)
Thanks for visiting!!!!! I really appreciate it!

Steve and Kelly's Favorites at the San Diego Zoo

Steve loves polar bears, and I love koala bears! Actually, I love polar bears, too! But, I chose these photos because they were some of our favorites at the San Diego Zoo. I meant to place the photos a little more to the left, but I had already peeled the paper and photos off for another issue... I made the flower with several layers of Sizzix flowers which I then crimped and inked with some turquoise to go along with the paper and butterflies. The layout is not wonky in real life either... I made this using Frosted Designs lovely sketch! I'm in a hurry today because for the first time in his life, my hubby locked his keys in the car, and I am going to take them to him and have lunch with him also! So, yay for that!

Phoenix - Sisters at the Desert Botanical Gardens Take 2
I realize this looks a little dark and boring in the photo, but it looks half-way decent in person! I'm in the mood to scrap some of my many Phoenix photos from the trip my sister and I took in June, 2011. I used Sketchy Thursday's sketch and a color challenge from Just Us Girls. I'm using up some of my stash. I decided to use 6 brads and some old Basic Grey paper that I've had for a long time. It is hard to tell, but I did use one of my favorite Fiskars border punchs on this, too! And, I made a rosette out of some left over paper from Scenic Route that I used on the last layout I posted!
Thanks for visiting! It makes my day!

Koalas at the San Diego Zoo
I used a cute sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches to do this layout of some of the koalas at the San Diego Zoo. I could have watched them all day! I think the koalas are so cute that they didn't need a lot of embellishments! Card-stock and stamp are both from CTMH. The patterned paper and flower are Prima. The butterflies are Martha Stewart, and the pearls are from Kaiser. The letters are American Crafts Thickers. The hemp is from my stash.
Thanks for visiting! I hope you aren't sick of zoo layouts because I have MORE pictures!!!!

My Beautiful Mother in 1963
I made this out of the Heartfelt collection from MLS! I just love it! Erin sent it over to me! I was thrilled to get it as it is my favorite collection from them! I look at this picture and see so much beauty there! My mother had this made for my dad when he was sent overseas right after they got married! It must have been hard for them to be separated. They haven't been separated since and are still as in love now as they were then! I'm entering this in a challenge at Sketches 4 All...
Thanks so much for stopping by! It makes my day!

Old Wives Tale - Butterflies
Did you know that there is an Old Wives Tale that three butterflies together mean good luck? When I saw
Simon Says Stamp and Show an Old Wive's Tale!, I was curious to find a fun tale using butterflies! This is what I made based on the tale. Anyway, I used a sketch I found on Stacy HW's challenge at Sketches 4 All, and I used Doris' idea of have three ribbons/trims, using at least one in an unusual way! How fun! I doubled stamped the butterfly-first with Jenni Bowlin yellow paint and then with some CTMH Hollyhock ink. The three trims/ribbons: 1) yellow at bottom, Crate Paper; 2) unusual way 1: butterfly antennae, Crate Paper; and 3) unusual way 2: made a ribbon flower.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today! Please leave a comment to let me know you were here!!!
Thanks, and have a great day!
Easter - 1998

I made this for Sketchy Thursday's latest challenge! I used the right half of the sketch! I also entered this at Sketches 4 All. One girl challenged us to use at least 5 patterned papers, 5 different fonts and 5 buttons! I couldn't believe that I could do it, but I did. Another suggested using only pink, green, and white (with a little neutral thrown in). She also asked for 2 chipboard elements and 2 rub-ons. I did that, too!
Don't forget to enter my blog candy!

Ginny's 60th Birthday with Steve

I created this layout showing a table and bowl that Steve made for his mom for her 60th birthday last year! I used the lovely #117 sketch from Liz Chidester over at The Scrappiest! The "You are Special" tag came from a box of chipboard I had.

A Layout About Me
I made this GREEN layout about me (ha ha, no picture) for The Paper Variety's latest challenge! I got the interview prompt from Creating Keepsakes. I used Trunk Bay Tattered Angels mist (hard to see but I did use a TA tree mask also) that I got with a gift certificate I won to Coordinates Collections. I just love the Cosmo Cricket paper that I used. The darling hedgie is one I bought from Purple Pumpkin and the crochet flower is one that Jessica sent me from Australia. I've been hoarding it as I only have one left of the 5 she sent. My friend Stacy had the idea to not use a photo in the layout. So, the Creating Keepsakes prompt worked out nicely!
