Amy Knollmeyer Photography photos of Mitch's Girlfriend

I made this layout of my son's girlfriend. She was supposed to be a "snake." Such a pretty snake, indeed!  The photos were taken by a professional during a "Vogue" style session.  I had fun making my own background in the upper right using a mask and some paints, and Tim Holtz distress stains in a blue and white color (don't have the bottles right here). I love how this turned out! I made it for Simon Says Make Your Own Background!!!

Thanks for looking. Let me know you stopped by, and I'll come visit you!!!

Have a great day!

Prom

I had a lot of fun making this layout. I wanted to add a little elegance and a lot of playfulness which describes Mitch and his girlfriend Meredith so much.  I embossed a lovely, light blue and white paper with a gorgeous embossing folder and then rubbed a darker ink all over it to bring out the embossing. It is meant to go with the flowers in the gorgeous dress. I also used the yellow background for that purpose. I added the black borders to go with Mitch's suit!! I am entering this in Simon Says Anything Goes challenge--love those!!!!! I am also entering it in my friend Stacy's tic tac toe challenge: mist, alphas and buttons....

Thanks for visiting!

California Animals 12,000 Years Ago

First, I have to say Happy birthday to my wonderful Dad!!!

Well, I have to say I went a little haywire with the Crate Paper sparkly die-cuts on this one! I guess I must have been in the mood for color since the mural only had a couple of colors in it! It also may have been because of the colorful Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger:  Luminous Layers challenge this week.  I used a fun sketch from Sketchy Thursdays to make the layout of these two photos which I pieced together from our San Diego Zoo visit.  I think you can tell that the inspiration came from the Tuesday Trigger and that Crate Paper made the perfect patterned paper for it. Who knows what happened from there! My layout also fits Frosted Design's challenge this week to include animals!

Anyway, thanks again for visiting! I really appreciate your sweet comments! They make my day!

Have a great day!

Jolly by Golly - Cosmo Cricket Card

Cosmo Cricket is having a challenge. I created this cute little card for it!  The Pink Stamper has also issued a winter challenge, and I thought this would work well for it also! And, yes the coffee mugs are on a slant and so are the birds. I thought it made it more fun. I fussy cut the little birds because I wanted to have them walk down the dark pink part of the cute patterned paper! Anyway, I made the little spiral flower and added a pink button, a little ink and Rock Candy stickles on it. The BRRR sticker is SRM stickers!  Thanks for looking!

Vintage Home Collage

I was inspired by Amanda Jones over at The Studio to make this collage. I used 7 Gypsies Orchestra paper and rubbed some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen over it.  I made my own flower and used a crochet flower made by my friend Mary--with a little of the distres ink rubbed on it to make it look a little older. The birds are from a lovely Cosmo Cricket paper pack--looks very vintage I thought.  The buttons ARE vintage, and I thought they all had something unique to offer to this collage! I don't know if this will go in a frame or what yet, but I thought it turned out ok.  I thought it would be good for Brenda's challenge for fall colors over at Sketches 4 All!
