The Twins and their Furry Friend

I made this layout of my twin sister and me with the "furry" Phil the gorilla at the St. Louis Zoo.  We were about the same age as my sister's daughter and my son! It is weird to think that so much time has passed since this photo!!! Anyway, I saw the photos and thought they would fit great with Simon Says Stamp Furry Friends challenge; so I made this layout!!!

2nd Take on Prom--You Two Have So Much Fun!

Well, I am on a roll with the prom photos! I made this for Simon Says Anything Goes and for my friend Stacy's tic tac toe challenge. I chose a different row this time...

Cool in the Pool

 

Ahh, relaxing in the pool in San Diego. What could be better than that? I used Sketchy Thursday's latest challenge to make this for Stacy's make me think of being cool when I see your project.  I'm usually pretty literal when I use a sketch, but I took a little license on this one... I used MyStik adhesive which I really liked and some foam squares, both from 3L. What adhesive is your favorite?  The stamping is from CTMH, but otherwise pretty much everything is from a cute, older collection from My Mind's Eye! Plus, the little holes were punched with an EK Success border punch!  The yellow and blue papers have hearts all over--just loved that...

Memphis, Zoo

This is what I do when I have a lot of photos to scrap. I just pile them on and add a couple of accents--in this case a bunch of buttons, flowers and a big dotted brad! That big yellow chipboard flower has Jenni Bowlin paint on it, and it has been stamped with a background stamp from CTMH in an aqua pigment ink from SEI. The paper is Crate Paper.

All is Crate Paper except for the Thickers letters, the ink which is SEI (I inked up some punched images for the butterflies), and the trim. I also used an EK Success border punch!

San Francisco - Cliff House 2009

I made this layout for Artful Delight's sketch challenge #1! All is Crate Paper except the letters which are American Crafts Thickers! Head over quickly if you want to participate in the challenge! Kelly's New Bike - 1972

This is one GROOVY layout! I totally forgot how my mom decorated our house back then!  My dad made our kitchen cabinets, and Mom painted them and made the curtains.  I made this layout by scraplifting Mandy Starner's Midway Lights September layout over at Up The Street.  This is their September challenge.  I am also entering it in the weekly American Crafts contest.  This week you are to scrap a page of yourself with at least 2 AC products! Practically my whole layout is American Crafts!

Letters are Prima; brads unknown; paper DCWV; journaling Making Memories; strips are from stash; I added a TPC Studio rub-on bird and 3 of their jewels to the journaling card.

Bye Bye Birdie

This is for Scrap Whispers Challenge 64--create a layout based on a movie! Well, the play was based on a movie! Isn't this Nikki Sivils' Dan the Record Man a cute collection?!!!  I thought it went perfectly with these sepia-toned pictures of the old-fashioned play "Bye Bye, Birdie" which was set in the late 1950s.

Monochromatic Aqua Uptown Girl

This aqua monochromatic, fun card I made to be entered into Caardvark's Celebrating Core'dinations challenge.  This is such a fun challenge!  A note about the butterfly:  I used ink, water and salt on a glossy piece of cardstock before punching out the butterfly!

Mitch and Haley--Mitch playing "guitar"

There is a story behind this picture. Mitch is play a little girl's pink guitar--he was asked to tune it. I thought it was so cute the way his girlfriend was looking over his shoulder that I had to do a layout!!!! That is why the guitar looks so little and why I printed the picture in sepia!

I am entering this in a challenge at The Studio--use bows or buttons (or both). I thought this ribbon was so beautiful that I  kept it very simple--just a non frilly bow (no extra loops) with ribbon and an embossed image of a guitar with a few layers of ink-edged paper under the sepia-toned picture!
