Relax and Read a Book While You are Getting Well
I made this card for my sister as a get well card. The tag inside the envelope tells her to relax and get well. I made it for the Simon Says Emboss It challenge!

Christmas tag
I created these tags for my stamp club for our December trade. We decided to do tags this year instead of cards. I was prompted to get them going today by a Hero Arts challenge as well as the Scrapfit #55 challenge to make a Christmas tag or card as well as Really Reasonable Ribbon's Challenge #35 Christmas Theme. I was rather pleased with how these came out. On the back, I have a fun Fiskars stamp that has a " to: and from: " box in a cool shape. Naturally, when I went to photograph these, I forgot to take a photo of the back. I ran some Ranger distress ink along the edges of the cool tag I found on a fun Cricut cartridge I have. I also pop-dotted the small tree and stippled some darker ink over the stamping on it to make it stand out from the other tree. It is amazing how much time making 12 tags took me. I don't even want to admit how long it took!
On a side note: I had to end up taking a high dose (for me) of prednisone along with an antibiotic for my leg surgery--I had what was probably an infection and excess inflammation. They seem to be doing the trick, but I'm praying that I don't gain weight with the prednisone like I usually do! I'm already as big as I've ever been. I'm going to try to keep hitting the gym as much as possible to help prevent it!
Thanks for visiting!

Elephant with Banners

I haven't been very crafty since last week! This is the extent to which my craftiness led me this week so far. I am planning on doing some scrapbooking today!!! I made a tag on a black base card for a couple of challenges: Simon Says ,,,,, Dies to Die For challenge. The die I used is the Sizzix tag. I also was inspired by Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger: Delightfully Random! I used red and blue and the banners! I also entered my friend Stacy's challenge to use a tag!
Thanks for stopping by! It makes my day!

My Beautiful Mother in 1963
I made this out of the Heartfelt collection from MLS! I just love it! Erin sent it over to me! I was thrilled to get it as it is my favorite collection from them! I look at this picture and see so much beauty there! My mother had this made for my dad when he was sent overseas right after they got married! It must have been hard for them to be separated. They haven't been separated since and are still as in love now as they were then! I'm entering this in a challenge at Sketches 4 All...
Thanks so much for stopping by! It makes my day!

My Sister's Wedding - 1988
In the midst of our impending blizzard here in the Midwest, I have suddenly gotten the scrapbooking mojo going! Three layouts in a row! I made Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday's layouts on Monday and thought I's spread them out over the week! I used Sweet Peach Crop Shop's beautiful January sweet kit that I won earlier this month and their January sketch to create this layout! I did add some Kaiser Pearls, a little lace from my stash and some Prima flowers (just because they matched the paper perfectly)! Sweet Peach Crop Shop's kits are a lot of fun!

Karen and Julie - Thanksgiving 2009
I made this for Sketches 4 All. Mel, from Australia, gave me that beautiful chipboard flourish. I dabbed it with a copper Adirondack paint dauber! That cute little stamped image with the bird/birdhouse is Stampin' Up! I colored it in with Tombow markers!

Vintage Tag
Well, I got out my needle and thread on this. My mother-in-law gave me the beautiful pearl beads! I don't know who the girls are--thought they were beautiful. They remind me of my mom when she was younger (at least from the pictures I've seen)! The gorgeous flower is Prima. Paper and ribbon are from Cosmo Cricket! I was pretty happy with this! I distressed the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink. I did the tag for Sketches4All/you!
If you like it, please consider leaving a comment! I "live" for comments. Well, maybe not "live," but I sure enjoy getting them!
