I made this for the masculine challenge over at Simon Says Stamp! The text is all about how mama doesn't want a dog and says "no, no, no" and the boys showing her the photo... and what happens next.

How Fast You Grow Charlie!

This is our darling little Charlie. The pocket in the middle of the 2 photos talks about how fast he grew in about a month. We got him right before Christmas at just under 4 pounds and is now over 17 pounds!! Wow! I made the layout using a sketch from PageMaps! I used mostly Teresa Collins "On the Edge" with the exception of some Tattered Angels mist and the little zig zag border which came from Echo Park and the top part of the pocket which was a little bit of DCWV embossed with a cool chevron pattern which is the opposite of the double folder I got recently with my gift certificate from my cool friend Stacy! (I'm also sharing this layout with one of her challenges at Sketches 4 All/You...)
Thanks for looking! I hope you are having a great Mother's Day!
Mitch got up very early yesterday to make me a wonderful breakfast since he is going to a Yankees game in Kansas City today. I couldn't say no to that since he rarely gets this kind of opportunity!

Welcome Home New Baby
THE STORY: the boys (my husband and son) had been begging for a dog ever since we moved into our new house. The idea was that he wouldn't have to be left alone for long hours since we'd be so much closer to my husband's work, and he works from home often. Well, I kept saying "NO!" since I'm allergic. Steve (my husband) had been stalking Craig's list and the Humane Society and saw our Charlie's photo the second it was posted. Well, I took one look at this little puppy's photo, and he was in our car one-half hour later--and he lived in the next town over....!!!! Even though I do have the allergy problem, it is kinda worth it! He's such a sweetie (to us)! Charlie has worked his way into all of our hearts, and we can't imagine life without him now! I made it for the PageMaps challenge. Here's the sketch!

Our Little Sweetie
I used Pam's fun sketch challenge 223 to create this little layout of our puppy who is now quite a bit bigger!!! I created it at the suggestion of my friend at Garden of Grace to enter it into challenge 27 All God's Creatures at Scrapping Everyday Miracles challenge this month. The twist was to add a quote: I used is "You had me at Woof" which is a slight variation from a movie...
Most of the embellies I used were from Amy Tangerine's collection--I won it somewhere and can't remember where? sorry and thanks at the same time!
Anyway, have a great day!!!

Charlie
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!! The boys finally wore me down!! ! And, I guess I can take allergy pills every day! He's probably worth it!!! Isn't Charlie cute, though? He is in Mitch's stocking. Mitchell will get to see him tomorrow. He's so excited!
I know I haven't posted in a long time but think about many of my bloggy friends often. I just haven't crafted in a while. We have two house payments unfortunately! So, I've been working extra and stressing!! I hope the house sells soon as it will relieve a lot of stress!
However, we are very happy in our new home. We love living in the same town where Steve works.
Mitch did really well in his first semester at Mizzou! We are so proud!!
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
