Vintage Home Collage

I was inspired by Amanda Jones over at The Studio to make this collage. I used 7 Gypsies Orchestra paper and rubbed some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen over it.  I made my own flower and used a crochet flower made by my friend Mary--with a little of the distres ink rubbed on it to make it look a little older. The birds are from a lovely Cosmo Cricket paper pack--looks very vintage I thought.  The buttons ARE vintage, and I thought they all had something unique to offer to this collage! I don't know if this will go in a frame or what yet, but I thought it turned out ok.  I thought it would be good for Brenda's challenge for fall colors over at Sketches 4 All!

  12. Oh Kelly, I love this vintage feel! It is *so* right up my alley. :) Thanks for visiting my blog. The butterfly punch is the Martha Stewart Large Monarch, punched twice, and the crocheted doily is from a flea market find. I spritzed it with Glimmer Mist Rose Tea to make it pink-ish (originally a caramel/dark ivory color).

Hello randomness... You happen to have a blog candy link on your sidebar right now (ends today) from "Purple Pumpkin Crafts" that includes really cool crocheted doilies. They might be the same small size (3") as my vintage lovelies - now I have to figure out where she sells them. Wow wow!
