Scrapbooking A Lot These Days

I have been scrapbooking a lot lately. But, I haven't been sharing them here. I am not really sure why--maybe because I'm not entering challenges; maybe because I don't know if anyone is looking, maybe because I'm focusing on putting a lot of photos on my layouts so there isn't much interesting going on; maybe because I clearly don't have my camera setup to take a decent photo.  I don't know.

Today, I decided to make some layouts of some older photos (from 2011). My motivation probably had something to do with all of the snow we have been getting here in the Midwest lately!!!  I don't love getting out in the snow, but the day these photos were taken, we all decided to play in the snow--EVEN ME!!! I was surprised (as you can see by the photos) that they talked me into sledding down that HUGE hill at our old house!!!

I decided to make this layout for my friend Stacy's challenge! She's the best. You should go check out her challenge.

Thanks for looking. If any of you are actually still out there, pop in and say hi!! I'll try to get around to you soon!!!!

  1. This is a great layout. I'm not sure I've ever seen one exactly like it. That date banner is great and I like that you matted your 4 photos on the white corrugated paper.

  3. We're still here, Kelly! I think we all go through lapses in blogging... I certainly do! And I find the longer I stay off the wagon, the harder it is to get back on.

This looks like a fun snow day (even though you were reluctant)... if you can't beat, em, join em!

  4. Kelly, drawing zentangles is easier than you think, if you follow the 'rules' ... youtube has tutorials. You could draw some amazing borders for your photos or decorations for your pages :)

  5. What do you mean nothing interesting going on? the pix tell the story, the rest is merely filler!!!! I wonder sometimes if anyone looks at my stuff or even reads anything I say, kinda like at home where I talk and no one listens!! But then I remember I scrap for myself and no one else. The challenges only inspire and motivate me to get something done. And without them I wouldn't have met awesome people like you that I am so happy to call my friends :) Keep doing whatever makes you happy......these are your pages and your stories!!!

  6. How fun. I've not been motivated at all to get out in the snow.

We are still here and still visiting, just working myself out of a long blog drought. Kick started myself today. Hopefully will keep it going and will visit more often Kelly.
