Resilience

This is a doozy! I don't normally pour out my soul so heavily in public! I made this layout in response to a prompt by Scrapbooking from the Inside Out!  I used Sketch #114 from The Scrappiest.  After seeing the prompt from SFTIO and a prompt to use a number from The Paper Variety, I felt this overwhelming urge to make the layout about my feelings about lupus (and my other diseases) which I have had for over 20 years (which is the number for TPV)!  It is reflected in the title of my layout as well as in my journaling. I have included photos which show the Title, the journaling strips and the actual journaling if you care to read them. You might have to enlarge the bottom one even more to be able to read it! I printed out my journaling and title in three different fonts and then sprayed the paper with some Mister Huey's Color Mist in Orchard. Somehow it represented pain to me! The butterflies represent my good days and the fragility of life all at the same time.  I love the Prima that I used also! It just seemed to fit.

  4. Aw Kelly, your layout is beautiful and has touched me profoundly. Just yesterday, I too shared a layout about me. It was difficult to do it, but I did. I kept most of journaling private but shared a few lines on my post. Thank you for sharing about you with us. Big hugs, Yolie

  12. What a wonderful LO! It's beautiful, in addition to having such honest and thoughtful journaling. My sister was diagnosed with lupus as a teenager and struggles with multiple illnesses as well. You're definitely not alone, and there are many of us 'out there' who understand your struggles. I'm glad that you are so positive about it.
