Charlie
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!! The boys finally wore me down!! ! And, I guess I can take allergy pills every day! He's probably worth it!!! Isn't Charlie cute, though? He is in Mitch's stocking. Mitchell will get to see him tomorrow. He's so excited!
I know I haven't posted in a long time but think about many of my bloggy friends often. I just haven't crafted in a while. We have two house payments unfortunately! So, I've been working extra and stressing!! I hope the house sells soon as it will relieve a lot of stress!
However, we are very happy in our new home. We love living in the same town where Steve works.
Mitch did really well in his first semester at Mizzou! We are so proud!!
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!

I'm Crafting Again, I'm Crafting Again!!!!!
I have my craft room in enough order to craft again!!! For those of you who don't know, we recently moved!! I have a craft room, but it is smaller than my old room. It has been almost two months now since we've moved, and I can craft again. The hubby hasn't set up the photo booth yet, but I set this card in my window sill and took a photo... I made it both for my friend Stacy's challenge and for the September Crafter's Companion challenge to use stripes or dots. I used one of my favorite stamps--Popcorn the Bear. I added a few more "dots" by piercing the corners of my card.
Thanks for visiting! I hope you have a great day!!!!

Peter Rabbit in Yellow and Green
Since I am guest designer over at Crafter's Companion this month, I thought I'd make another "yellow" card for the challenge. I added some texture to this card by distressing the edges with my CTMH distressing tool to add it to the Simon Says Texture challenge. I also splattered some Luminarte powders on this which has some texture (and sparkle--which allows me to add it to Stacy's challenge) all by itself. Finally, I added some gorgeous Crate Paper buttons! One of the boys just might have to give me this card for some occasion. I don't' know if I can let it go. I love Peter Rabbit!!! I colored the image with CTMH water color pencils and some copics.
Thanks so much for visiting! I really appreciate it!

You and Me - Senior Photos
I made this for Scrapfit's Sketch Workout #69. Do you think the final layout should have the heart ribbon (#2) or not (#1)? I'll go with the majority of the crowd!! I also entered this in my friend Stacy's challenge and Simon Says Anything Goes!.
Thanks for visiting! If you leave me a comment, I'll do my best to get around to you! I have been so busy, I'm surprised I found time to scrap!!! :-)
Thanks for looking!

Bookmarks
I was in the mood to make something quick and easy. Luckily, The Paper Variety had a no scrapbook layout or card challenge and Simon Says has an anything goes challenge. So, I can enter these bookmarks into their challenges.

Crafter's Companion Mouse in Yellow
I was excited to be asked to be the guest designer at Crafter's Companion this month. That provided me with just the motivation I needed to make this little card. I painted the bows and the dress with some yellow glittery powder that I got from Luminarte after coloring them in with markers. I made it for Crafter's Companion's sunshine/yellow challenge, Moxie Fab World's splatter challenge (I did splatter some of the Luminarte powders on my card stock before stamping it to make it seem like the sunshine is splattering all over) and finally for my friend Stacy's challenge to add pearls to your card. I was lucky to have a friend who gave me the beautiful crochet flowers. I popped my pearls inside them. Isn't this mouse sweet.
I'd like to encourage you to join the Crafter's Companion challenge this month. The prize is awesome! A $30 gift card to their store. You can pick what you'd like. You just have to use a stamp that they sell and the color yellow. Pretty easy, right?! :-)
I'm hoping to craft more next week. So, you may see some layouts next week.
Also, just a note that we still haven't sold our house! Please send prayers and positive energy our way! Thanks and have a great day!

Campus Visit
Here's a layout I made using mostly Echo Park Times & Seasons. I added some vintage buttons, some arrow from CTMH, a vinyl clock that was in my stash and a pretty doily. I got the doily and Times & Seasons pack from Rebecca. Thanks, Rebecca!! She does amazing work also if you'd care to go visit her. Anyway, I'm entering this layout into Simon Says Anything Goes--my favorite challenge hands down! :-)

Prom 2012 - Take 2
I created this for Scrapfit's challenge #68 to use mist. Sorry about the blur in the center of the photo--I guess I need to look at my lense.
Thanks for looking!
World's Best Dad
I created this Father's Day card for Crafter's Companion's May Flowers Challenge and for Simon Says' Feature a Man challenge and one for the boys.
I used my water color pencils from CTMH as well as a couple of Copics to color in my Beatrix Potter image.

Freedom
I made this card for Memorial Day and for a couple of challenges: my friend Stacy's and
Simon Says Stamp Presents a Star Challenge! over at Lily Pad Cards and Simon Says Stamp and Show a summer holiday. You could say this would work as a Memorial Day card and a Fourth of July card. I used a PageMaps sketch... I took it pretty literally!
Thanks for visiting and I hope you are enjoying the Memorial Day weekend and remember our fallen soldiers and their families with a prayer.

Prom 2012 - The first Page of Many
Mitch decided to rent a tux for this year's prom since it was for senior year. I thought his lovely girlfriend, Emily, looked like a Greek goddess in this dress!
I used The Paper Variety's wonderful sketch for this layout!
Thanks for visiting! I hope you have time to leave a comment to let me know if anyone is still looking at my pages!!

Prom
I'm finally getting around to posting some prom photos. I developed phlebitis last week. Not a good thing to have when you have so much to do with your son graduating from high school. Luckily, I had a lot of help with his graduation party yesterday. We had a great turnout and Mitch felt very loved.

Family in 1987
I made this during NSD using Artful Delight's fun sketch. I also entered into BasicGrey's challenge to use a shape other than a square or a rectangle--I chose the ever popular octagon. I can't believe it, but everything on the layout is BasicGrey with the exception of the adhesive!
Thanks for looking!

Mitchell Exploring Trees with Grammie in 1995
I made this layout using My Little Shoebox's sketch for NSD. I used two of their collections to make this layout-don't ask me right now which--I just grabbed the ones that seemed to fit the photos. I also decided to incorporate the color challenge at SCT.
I guess I am getting really nostalgic because I went back to my older photos for NSD. I guess it is because Mitch graduates from high school in two weeks--the day after my birthday!!!
Thanks for visiting!

Easter 1999
Even though we are extremely busy right now with trying to sell our house and ending up Mitchell's senior year, I felt an urge to participate in some of the challenges for NSD. I made this layout using all Jillibean Soup patterned paper--no cardstock. I used Jillibean's sketch and am entering it in their challenge as well as Frosted Designs challenge to use only patterned paper....
Mitch was almost five years old in these photos. It is hard to believe he will be graduating from high school in two weeks!
Thanks for looking.

Hiking to Big Red
I made this layout for The Paper Variety's make your own flower challenge. I loved this Amy Tangerine American Crafts map sheet. I have had this glass/metal focus on what is in this circle thingy for ages. I thought it would be cool to highlight the area we were travelling on the map. I made the box fold flower for the challenge. I was really excited recently to win some MME adventure brads. I hoarded them for a few seconds but decided to use them on this because I just love them SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much. I also used a little Mr. Huey Color Mist by dropping it on the page a few places. Finally, I added these cool little Basic Grey letters. The gray pennant was made with the Chaps line from American Crafts. I thought it was cool that I got 7 photos on this layout even if they were small photos.
As you can see, we took the trip in 2010. I'm so behind in scrapping...
I hope you have a great day!!!!!

Another Book -- This time a Baby Girl Book
It seems I am always making books lately. I made this little baby girl book for a Creating Keepsakes challenge to make a mini baby album. I made it out of one piece of cardstock and then decorated it. Technically it makes an 8 page book as you can decorate every 6" inch square, but I left two pages "white" with only a small decoration to write some journaling. I am entering it in my friend Stacy's challenge to use at least two punches or diecuts. I used a butterfly, a flower, the large hexagon and the pocket. I got the jewels from Peachy Cheap. I'll be entering this in the Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge, too.
Thanks for looking.

Mini Book/Graduation Card
I made this little book/graduation card using one 8 1/2" by 11" sheet of paper! I love that the inside middle is a surprise. I got the butterfly, bird, and girl silhouette stamps from Simon Says Stamp and also am entering in their Anything Goes challenge this week. The zinnias are from Flourishes and the rest of the stamps are Close to My Heart! The base is kraft cardstock and the rest is either Crate Paper or DCWV.
Thanks for looking! I made this for my son's girlfriend for graduation.
Hope you have a great week!

Happy Mother's Day
Well, I am sad that I didn't win the Crafter's Companion blog hop this week because I would have won every Peter Rabbit/Beatrix Potter stamp set they carry!! I would have been in heaven. Congrats to the winner though! Anyway, this is my entry for the Mother's Day challenge over there. I thought I would make the cute little SWALK character in bright colors. I used some Crate Paper patterned paper.
Thanks for visiting! I hope you have a fantastic day!!!
